Hello
It is difficult to choose which has been the best holidays I have ever lived, however there is very special one and that was when I traveled to Italy in December 2016 to spend Christmas in Florence.
I had always been very conservative about the good night, always spending it at home and sharing it with family. This time was different, I was with my husband in a city that I always wanted to know, on the other side of the world with a very different rhythm of life than the one I had lived in previous year.
I remembre that on the good night, after dinner, we went for a walk around the city, there was music in many corners and it was all lit up with Christmas decorations, with many little papers tied ti its branches, they were wishes that the passers-by asked for. I found it wonderful!!
This trip was planned with time and we wanted to get to know a lot in just 20 days.
We were in Florence for 6 days, visiting museums, churches, markets and walking the streets along the river Arno.
What most caught my attention about Italy, was its railway that can communicate throughout the country, very good quality and very good prices.
That allowed us to go to beautiful Venice on the seventh Day.

Its people are very friendly since it is a tourist city and is prepared for that. In the 5 days we were there, we went throughputs streets and canals on the vaporeto, a big boat for several people. I was impressed by the amount of existing churches that in the light on the sunsets seemed to come out of the water. The San Marcos square with its church, icon of the city.
One day at lunch, the garzón asked us where from and told us " the land of Alexis Sanchez", we thought it was fun!! Italian are passionate about fútbol, they are very welcoming people and also very loud.
On the 12th day we went to Rome another marvel, sculptures and water pools in the streets made by renowned artists. It is a very bustling city with hellish traffic, You have to be a very good driver to avoid being hit by a car. We generally used the subway because it gave us reference points to move around the city.
We visited the Vatican, It´s impressive, how architecture and artistic expressions embrace each other and make the visitor admire it not only for its beauty but also because it´s really great.
Also the Sistine Chapel and Vatican museum.
Another day we visited the coliseum, being inside you feel the weight of history and imagination us manifested with gladiators al lions.
Also the Trevi Fountain, full of coins from different parts of the world, also Chilean.
Finishing our holidays from Rome we take a tour and visit for day Siena, a feudal city, full of life and experiences. On the way we passed to San Giminiano, a magical place that I want to mention, because it is like it would have been in the last century, with walls and stone roads surrounded by Italian Tuscany with yellow colors earth.
My trip to Italy was really beautiful, I still have it in memories and make us want to return, maybe one day not too far away we will try again.
